Jason Bateman, born in 1969, is a native of recent York. His father, Kent Bateman, a movie and tv author, director and producer moved the household, which included mother Victoria and older sister Justine Bateman to California.

 

Jason Bateman began appearing in 1979 at age 10 and in 1981 landed the recurring position of James Cooper Ingalls in the popular drama sequence "Little Home on the Prairie." Throughout the 1980s, Jason Bateman appeared in many television shows including "Knight Rider," "Silver Spoons" and "It's your Move." In 1986, Jason Bateman was a bona fide teen idol when he landed the function of David Hogan on a family-oriented sitcom referred to as "Valerie," which aired on American tv from 1986-1991; the present's title was renamed "The Hogan Family" after the first season. Throughout this time he continued working, showing in episodes of assorted sitcoms, short-lived sitcoms and motion pictures, however no starring roles. Throughout this time Bateman managed to stay out of the tabloids and celebrity magazines like Individuals, Ok! magazine and Us Weekly journal.

 

In the August 2009 situation of the men's journal, Details magazine, Jason Bateman informed the journal that after the end of "The Hogan Family" he abused alcohol and medication for a decade. It was only in 2001, after his spouse, actress Amanda Anka, gave him an ultimatum, did he seek assist by way of the alcohol and drug therapy program, Alcoholics Nameless.
